Ronnie Shaw meeting with a client during a Social Security disability consultation

What we will cover on the initial call

The first conversation is about understanding your situation — not filling out a long web form. Be ready to talk through:

  • What happened — the notice, denial, payment change, overpayment, payee issue, or other SSA problem you are dealing with
  • Important dates on any letters you have received
  • Whether you already applied, appealed, or responded to Social Security
  • Your county or city so we know you are in the service area
  • The best way to send paperwork after the call (email or text)

What to have ready

  • Any Social Security notices, denial letters, overpayment letters, or other SSA correspondence
  • A notepad or phone so you can write down next steps
  • Questions you want to ask during the consultation

Do not have any paperwork? That is okay. We can help you figure out how to obtain the Social Security correspondence you need.

Sending SSA paperwork after the call

In most cases, Ronnie will ask you to send copies of your correspondence with the Social Security Administration so he can review what SSA has already sent you.

If you have digital copies

Email the files to shawssaadvocate@gmail.com after your consultation.

If you only have paper

Take a clear photo of each page and text the photos to 727-238-5117. Make sure the full page is readable — including dates and the SSA letterhead when possible.

Privacy tip

When you email or text documents, avoid adding extra personal numbers you are not asked for. If a notice includes your full Social Security number, you may cover all but the last four digits in the photo when that still leaves the rest of the letter readable — or ask Ronnie on the call how he prefers you send that page.
